Daniel N. Daisak

As a partner with 30 years of practical legal experience, Dan Daisak offers KDW clients unparalleled expertise with all matters surrounding intellectual property. Drawing from time spent as in-house IP counsel, Dan has extensive knowledge of the business side of IP as well as an understanding of IP industries and technologies with the most relevance to clients. He is contracted by several KDW clients to serve as in-house IP counsel where he is responsible for all phases of IP portfolio management and procurement.

Dan is regularly called upon to prepare patent non-infringement/invalidity opinions, draft and negotiate all types of IP related agreements, analyze IP enforcement actions, and conduct due diligence for M&A transactions ranging in size from $10 million to $2 billion.

After enjoying a career as an engineer specializing in radar and software design systems, Dan pivoted his focus to law. He spent the early days of his practice as a litigator focusing on ITC cases related to semiconductor devices. Prior to KDW, Dan was a partner at Duane Morris and served as in-house IP counsel to various business units at Tyco International.
