Jeff Wilson

As senior counsel at KDW with over 30 years of experience as a patent lawyer, Jeff Wilson has filed and prosecuted thousands of patent applications with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and extensively abroad. His collaborative approach allows for a cooperative, knowledgeable, high-quality and cost-effective output. His global client base spans a wide range of industries and technologies—from aircraft and aerospace systems to medical devices to chemical applications and more.

Jeff’s robust purview also includes opinion work, due diligence and litigation counseling. He has also been on Brief with the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit (CAFC), and has aggregated extensive experience in US and foreign trademark prosecution and portfolio management. His commitment to excellence has led to accolades that include an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell, Client Choice Awards, and Super Lawyer listings (North Carolina).

In addition to his role at KDW, Jeff is a member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA), Association Internationale pour la Protection de la Propriété Intellectuelle (AIPPI), the Association of University Technology Managers (AUTM), the Licensing Executives Society (LES), the North Carolina Bar Association (former Intellectual Property Law Section Council Member), and the Carolina Patent, Trademark and Copyright Law Association (former President).
