Carrie A. Boone

Carrie Boone brings over 20 years of patent prosecution experience across law firms and as a solo practitioner. Carrie is well versed with the U.S. Patent Cooperation Treaty filings and has experience working with attorneys across the globe to assist in foreign filings for clients.   

Carrie works on various technologies, including transistors, memories, printed circuit boards, antennas, heat sinks, cryptography, transformers, transceivers, capacitors, video technologies, interconnects, wireless communication protocols including WiFi, WiMAX, and 3G/4G/5G cellular standards. Carrie has written cases involving fuzzy logic, radiology software, ballistic protection, firearms, 3D printers, convolutional neural networks, and hyperbaric oxygen chambers for horses. 

As a former electrical engineer, Carrie’s passion for patent law started when she became Compaq Computer Corporation’s first female inventor. During her nine-year career there, she worked on ROM development for the ‘286 and ‘386 microprocessors, as well as the very first portable computers.
