Nick Carr

With years of experience in law, Nick Carr maintains a strategic and thorough intellectual property practice. He has experience working at a boutique patent as well as for the Supreme Court of North Carolina. With an expert background in computer science, Nick acts as a trusted business adviser to KDW clients, specifically Fortune 500 companies. In addition, he is passionate about subject matter eligibility matters and advises clients on this and a broad range of patent matters.  

Specifically, Nick has experience counselling clients on matters involving cloud, machine learning, cognitive computing, network, semiconductor, analytics, imaging/graphics, distributed computing, augmented/virtual reality, quality assurance systems, Internet applications, security, firmware, memory, and devices. 

As an additional asset to Nick’s client communication, he is conversational in Spanish and Greek. 

Nick has a strong presence in the legal community both in intellectual property and locally in North Carolina through his current role on the American Bar Association’s Intellectual Property Law Section and his previous roles as the Young Lawyers Section Board Member and Treasurer for the Greensboro Bar Association and Young Lawyers Division Board Member, Social Chair, Treasurer, and WCBA Social Committee member for the Wake County Bar Association.
