As a principal at KDW, Dr. Legleiter counsels clients in all aspects of intellectual property law with an eye towards finding real-world solutions to protect intellectual property assets, advance technology development, and support critical business needs. Dr. Legleiter has nearly two decades of diverse intellectual property law experience including patent and trademark preparation, prosecution and opinion work in both the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office, and with respect to foreign patent and trademark offices. Dr. Legleiter has significant patent legal experience in the chemical, life science and mechanical arts, including biochemistry, immunology, therapeutics, pharmaceuticals, genetics, agricultural biotechnology, food science, surface chemistry, imaging technologies, analytical methodologies, medical apparatuses, agricultural equipment, analytical devices, nanotechnology, LED applications, and mechanical devices and equipment. His experience further includes patent and trademark opinion work, due diligence studies, and client counseling in the strategic development of patent and trademark portfolios both domestically and globally.
